An embroidery of an eagle owl. I've been working on it in fits and starts since April. All done by hand. I'm using a Nat'l Geographic photo as reference. I love this work but it takes for-EVER. Would really like to find a community of stitchers here in LA, for inspiration and what not.

You might ask if that is a new rat on my car. And I would say why yes yes it IS a new rat.

The bird that was carrying it? Flew into the side of my car as I was going about 40 down Ventura this morning. And when the feathers cleared there was a new rat on my car. He was totally alive and fine. I pulled over and he ran off.

Panasonic has stopped manufacturing pencil sharpeners! No other company makes any kind of decent excuse for a pencil sharpener, so I had to buy this used one on ebay for thirty dollars. THIRTY dollars is how much they're going for because the five other people in this world who still sharpen pencils are scrambling to buy them all up. So I've got mine. It sounds like a garbage truck but it still makes beautiful points.

I've named it Snake Plisskin. On account of the one-eye thing and the DYSTOPIAN fact that good quality pencil sharpeners are gone from this world.
